Ready For San Fran? (Eagles Preview)

At 9 and 4 the Eagles are in solid position. And if they repeat the pattern of recent years December is always a good month for the Andy Reid led Birds.

 

How to beat 49ers:

• Stop Al Gore! Oh and Frank Gore too! With a lame QB and throwing game you should be able to load up on Gore and challenge the Niners to throw.

• With the troubles they have had against Tight Ends beware of Vernon Davis

• 49ers do come with their hard hat on so you better get your chin strap on and get ready to rumble.

• Don’t let Sheldon Brown with speedy Wide outs! The man is playing on one leg.

• Run McCoy and Weaver at the 49ers gut to set up play action.

• 49ers are a pedestrian #17 in the NFL defensive rankings! So let us show them a high powered offense!

 

The Eagles have slipped a little in offensive rankings but they have maintained a 28 points per game average. But that includes a couple 40+ point games. So they need to establish a balance offense and keep the penalties down and give no turnovers! The 49ers are not a great team and not exactly a good team. But they are more than capable of beating you. And the Eagles already got a beat down against a Bay area team this season.

 

It helps that the 49ers played on Monday Night football and have to travel East. Which always seems to favor the East team. But I still remember 9/24/1989!  The Eagles had the Niners dead to rights and Montana exploded for 4, 4th quarter TD’s! He finished with 428 yards passing and five touchdown passes in the victory.

 

Then again  that was Montana. They now have Alex Smith. His closest link to greatness is too his Head Coach.

 

This should be a solid 28 to 10 Eagles !victory!
