My man, I have watched you do your thing like I watch the boys go out and play. You bring the sports, the people, and the fans all together.

The article was just me sending out a shout about one of the best in your business.

Hey Tyler,

I have heard in the past that Rich Dubee and others have always wanted him to work on a cutter to go with his change and fastball. He has used his curveball in his career. But last year he clearly bailed on it very early and often. It seems to be a confidence factor.

In my expierence it seems pitchers who throw the cutter seemed to be more comfortable with it since it fits well with a fastball and change. Not too mention some pitchers just don't have a good curve.

I would love to see him use both and have 3 great pitches and 1 he can mix in there when he has the confidence with it. The more pitchers a starter has that he commands the better he can be. You can't be a 2 pitche starter and get away with it for very longin mu opinion.

I just read an article on the phillies website that Hamels is not only working on his curveball, but has consistently been introducing his cutter during pitching time. I know we have talked about before he needs another pitch, do you think he will use both pitches once the regular season comes? Or do you think he is just playing around with both?
