Well my man you might have to live those words very soon. Yeah boy, Danny boy is going to pull down $2.5 Mill in 2010 and $2.7 Miil in 2011.

 

I can’t say I’m thrilled with the signing but if he pitches to his potential it may prove to be a very good signing. It also means Chan Ho ain’t coming back unless he suddenly decides money isn’t important to him. I mean if the Chan said hey I’ll pitch for $800,000 or an even $1,000,000 Ruben may take him up on that. But don’t hold your breath that.

From a practical standpoint Ruben also pointed out that he believes Baez can go consecutive days which was another plus with the Chan.

 

Baez is happy to be here nevertheless. “It was an easy decision to come over here with a team that has been in the World Series two years in a row, and has a good chance to be back,” Baez said. “There are a lot of teams looking for help in the bullpen, but when you have a team like the Phillies, it’s an easy decision.”
